Hi guys,I'm a 3ds max user and I need to learn Rigging,Skinning,Animation (up to date workflow) in order to have my character doing stuff inside unreal engine 4 (and in order to improve as a Generalist). Thing is,I am in the blind about where I should start or what I should be learning. Like should I be using biped? Should…
admittedly, I didn't get this one to a point I was happy with as I had been with my previous model, I did however get a lot of experience using Substance Designer, since I used it and Krita to make my own textures. It was a very good learning experience overall, and my future work will be better for it. based on art by…
Define "guilty'? Did I do something that was against the EULA, yes I did, I'll bet you can't find one person who hasn't violated on in his lifetime. We did not do anything commercial with Maya PLEs. We did not do anything commercial with 3ds Max 30-day trial. We did not do anything commercial with our 2009 Inventor after…
Okay, I've reduced the file size to about 60MB by making the accessories maps 1K. Although I imagine I'll need to include the high poly file...? The rivets on it are wrong. I swear I'd corrected those in ZBrush and saved, but not according to Perforce. :-\ I'll have to rectify those another time. Hope the links work...…

Hi, Thanks for trying. I think it was on http://www.conceptart.org/ back in the day. In one of the scenes, I remember him getting chased by a bunch of rottweiler's. And it had a kind of Mac 'n' Cheese vibe to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auR8-0MG11g&t=80s
thanks a ton for the replies. It's been really stressfull the last few weeks. Been having problems concentrating on work because i hate my job and my mind starts to drift. My girlfriend and I have been fighting allot lately and doing art was a bit of a stress relief untill this last week. Just took it slow tonight and…
Thank you Eric! That is genuinely so kind of you to take time out of your day to help improve a random stranger's work. Did you mean add edge loops to the scroll length-wise or rather ones to the spiral of the scroll so it doesn't have as many sharp edges? I hear you about the bricks and kind of agree, just needed to hear…
Since you mentioned hardsurface, I've heard boolean modeling is pretty powerful for hardsurface these days. Frank Polygon's sketchbook is pretty insane https://polycount.com/discussion/221392/sketchbook-frank-polygon#latest I do a lot of hardsurface, but it's character armour so the workflow is a bit different and I do it…
I always did this type of rounded bevel with the spin tool in Blender. I've also been looking for the equivalent in Maya but so far the closest I've come across is 'edit mesh > wedge'. I hate that it's the one tool you have to be in multi mode to use, also you have to delete the extra faces afterwards :/
