Really cool work! If you had more time it would have been neat to add a bit more debris in the chasm, like the broken bridge. Discarded weapons, dead Parshendi or Alethi. Maybe some deep gouges in the stone from chasm fiends. Otherwise the only thing that stands out to me is the more tan/dry stones don't match up with the…
I did another try with references from pure classic handpainted textures and tried to mimic the look a bit closer. I boiled it down to broader strokes and less cavity and edges on the rough stones. I did this by removing alot of the cavity from the rock, and using the Paint Daubs filter on the cavity maps to get illusion…
I think this could benefit from more detail on the blade of the axe. Right now, It looks like stones crazy glued together. Maybe make bring it down to 3 pieces and dad some straps. Straighten some of your edges on the blade, it looks a little dull in areas. Also, I am not sure if you are going off any concept, but the…
The original concept's idea has a giant tree connecting to a structure of "tree" thats shaped somewhat like a pipe organ, that is in turn, connected to the throne, which is made out of tree as well. Taking one element out seems to destroy the whole thing so I decided to redesign the whole thing with a stone throne and…
looking great! now lets look at those stones. they are feeling kinda flat. how about doing this: -create a layer, and set it to "screen" -with a medium SOFT brush, poke the surface a few times with a color that is the same as the stone, but with some warm color added to it. like an orange/grey. -It is gonna look way too…
Small update. Modularity is a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I'm learning a lot which is cool. :) Everything is still WIP so nothing is in concrete. Concerning the stone arch, I would like to do it in Zbrush, and I've been practicing, but it still ends up looking like soft clay rather than stone, so this is my…
That's how I usually feel. When I finish something, I start to critique it until it hurts. This looks really cool, you did a good job on it! The scratched on the back of the chair look a bit weird, and the wood texture for the chair doesn't seem woody enough. The stone wall looks nice but there isn't a visible material…
hi folks. i have a question for you, could need som understanding on how to work with normal mapps. for this i have uploaded 3 simple stones sculpted in zbrush. created low polys, baked it using xnormals, and textured it . and the final image is a renderd image using marmoset toolbags newest version 1.04 to my eyes it…
A lot of your detail in her face makes it look like she's made out of stone because of the hard edges you have/flat planes. While the reference does have that in it, you're still trying to make her look human/alive, no? I would soften some of it out to make her look like she is made of fat muscle and skin on her face, not…
Is your plan to lift all of this in to zbrush? It will be ALLOT of work for you. I would say, model like 4-5 stone blocks with well thought details in them, reduce them in decimation master or meshLab and then place them in you scene. Same goes for the ground stones and the pillars. Think aobut you UVing before you start…
