Think most of it is animated on twos which means that the character keeps the same pose for two frames @ 24 fps which ultimalty makes it look like 12 fps. Cameras and and other objects are on ones (no double frames) which makes them appear smooth. Love the look and feel of it. Jim Levasseur (jipe on polycount) wrote this…
I would always optimize for better texture use unless given specific reasoning from a programmer on my current project to do otherwise. verts are cheap as hell. a vert is about as expensive as a pixel on a texture, in terms of memory footprint. Rendering costs are typically fillrate/draw call/other shader-issues driven. A…
So, with the appearance of G-sync monitors and some of the complaints about DA:I dialogue being capped at 30-FPS, I kinda figured that learning how to implement animations that's not reliant on the frame count could be useful. I've done a bit of research and from what I can tell, FBXs save animations on a frame by frame…
Polycount is attracted to these threads like a moth to a flame...... Howard, its getting better....sort the body proportions out and you'll be in much better shape to start on the rest.....
Not to be offensive or start a flame war, but Christianity and Business work well together. There are magazines and websites centered around this. It's everywhere here in the South. Used car salesmen especially.
Hey everyone, I've been actively working for Flaming Brain Studios and wanted to post some recent work and get some comments and critiques on the work at hand. I'm looking for anywhere that I can improve. Thanks.
heya, I posted this before but got flamed because it didn't have a floor and stuff, here's just a WIP pic, I'm thinking of adding a bumpm on the floor to make the bricks pop as commented by some people.
I find it really amusing, that so many people flamed the new (high-tech) bow in c3, but hardly anybody thinks that horses look totally hilarious in a future warfare. Seriously?
The light source is from within the forge. Once the video gets posted you'll see the flames. These are just screen grabs out of the UDK. I actually didn't notice that lol thanks!
