de_cbble Thanks mate , for the detail I looked at all the transformers film for part and structure reference and decided that the best way to approach it was to build it up in layers. start with the exo skeleton , then panelling which acts as the muscle layer and finally then the armour. I also decide early on that design…
Wow, two weeks since my last update. I realize now I've spend too much time tinkering the armor, going back and forth, and in the end returning to my paintover concept. I learned it helps me a lot to do designing in 2D. Designing by pulling vertices around doesn't work for me. I guess it can work in ZBrush but I need a bit…
Fun model. Design-wise, I think it would have been nice to find ways to show more of the little girl so that you immediately get that this is a kid dressed up. She's covered up enough that at first glance I thought it was a small creature or something. Maybe if the armor looked more constructed out of things around the…
Hey! I would say too that you are making progress really fast, adding a lot of stuff on the character. If I was you tho I would go back to the body and give it some more love and really try to refine it before really putting some work into the armor. About the armor It kinda look a bit muddy at the moment. The details…
@DireWolf - lol sorry i didn't mean to offend anyone, I just thought it was funny. it just seems like a regular thing on polycount to have penis's on everything. haha. thx for the feedback dudes! i will defiantly bulk up the shoulder armor. I am trying to keep fairly close to the concept...especially the colors. But I am…
Spent a while doing some polish work on the armor tonight. Got the designs into the stomach panels, made the plates that make up the armor around his neck, worked on some stitching on the cape and the straps around his mid section. I also pushed around the shapes of the shin pads to thin them out at the ankles a bit. I…
Whoops I thought I already made a post with the Armor a long time ago.... Anyways here's what I have so far. Figure finishedish, armor basic blocking in done, and a terrible retopo. This is the first time Ive used topogun and made a low poly of an organic model, so I need a lot of help. lol Any tips or resourses you can…
Update :D Ey bbob and duxun, thanks for the citique, it was very helpfull. Hope your all like the new render, the next step on the model is some armor, and some gadgets. The beard on him will first be made when i have the upper body-armor done. A paintover will be done later. Does have some small changes to him his normal…
actually there is very little to no black in the shading. The gamma on my laptop is quite different than the lcd im looking at now, and I see why you would say that. The only black in the shading occurs in the deep shadows of the helmet, the eye sockets, and some of the plate joints. The rest are deep semi-desaturated…
Hi all, i'm a noob who wants to make a character. That's my first attempt ever in making human body (i only made an ass lol, and some alien faces supposed to be human). I thought probably i don't have to make a detailed anatomy model for my first try (lazy power yup) since i will cover the body with an armor, and no need…
