Are your uvs still laid out in a rectangle for the sides of the cone? To get no bending in textures, cones need to be laid out either curved or in a circle. The error you are seeing is being caused by textures getting squished to fit into the smaller space of the tip with the same pixel density as the base.
Yeah, it was designed with something more like a Wacom in mind, which doesn't have that issue of detecting the stylus when it's not actually on the tablet. As for creating a smooth circle, try activating lazy mouse to get more control over your stroke. It's found under the Stroke menu at the top.
looking good. lots of edges feel too pinched though. also, surface gets messy in some areas, like legs right below the ass have those little bumps and whatnot. i guess it ain't easy to get it right with all those cuts and circles.
Cool :) I think her curves are more apparent in the concept though - waist thinner and hips wider. I also think you should make the cutline down the center of her chest wider/bolder, and the little glowing circle bigger too. Excited for the rest of the blockout :]
Yeah, I can definately see the strength in starting with cylinders that have defined numbers. I actually cut into the geometry to create the circles using splines as a guide to make sure they were circular. If I'm making a low poly it's going to come back and bite me lol.
mm, if you draw really fast it make lines properly, even circles but there is no way in fuck I can draw acurately at that speed. Maybe a pro could but not me. I took it appart and had a look inside, it looks insanely low dpi. What a piece of shit.
You could take a cross section of your tunnel and extrude it along a spline. Just make sure the spline and the cross section align to the grid. For a perfect 90 degree turn like that just take a circle spline primitive turn it into an editable spline and delete 3 of the segments.
Well, if the camera controls are the same for both versions, I could imagine drawing your weapon with the trigger and shooting with Circle, being a bitch for trying to move, aim and shoot at the same time. Man, playing Act 2 makes me want to play SnakeEater again :P
I know on the shield there is a line that goes in a circle and protrudes out a bit, I'm going to do it in Ndo on the normal map would take too long to model correctly. I'm trying to build on more what i learned and really concentrate on how things are put together. Thanks guys Textured V2 Baked HP
Sorry if this already has a thread, I was unsure as to what to call it. Basically I was wondering if you guys know of a way to get faces to scale individually when in a circle pattern. The reason for this is I need them to be pinched in the the normal will bake better. I have included an image to show (hopefully) what I am…
