sdfs are used basically everywhere in computer graphics and have been for at least 40 years just think of them as a gradient in however many dimensions you're dealing with and it all makes sense

It definitely won't let you compare 1-to-1 exactly. You can try creating a camera to view an angle closer to the original camera. But I think you'll just have to eyeball it. Real-world cameras have barrel distortion and other artifacts that most 3d cameras don't have (unless you put a ton of effort into it).
Hello! I made a model of my D&D character for my portfolio. The goals I kept in mind for this piece were to: * Complete a game-ready 3D character from scratch, without any base meshes * Learn the hair cards workflow and experiment with manual placement * Convey the core idea of the character, even when the concept is…

This allowed me to really adjust size of the UV island bigger for face, but at the same time resulted with rather ugly seam on top of head(It wasn't that much of a big deal…
I've slowly been doing a 30 heads 30 days challenge from the wonderful @Elithenia I've kept some of the rules used; - You can only subdivide once - You can spend no more than an hour on each head If anyone has any feedback or tips I would love to hear them.
Have you heard of the loomis and Asaro methods? Of head construction.. should help with planes of the face switching between 2D and 3D might help you there.. I would suggest spending time on areas away from heads like anatomy, musculature, texturing anything else at all that will help improve other areas. When you do…
Thank you for the question! I made this model myself, but I want to know how to make it look more accurate to the references shown above texture and normal map wise, and what I should do to make it that way. I can’t wait to hear back from you - Cyber Edit: I am not home right now, so I will send the screenshot without the…
