less time spent adding glow on letters in photoshop , more spent on studying the references ;) I would recomend not going frther than subd lvl 2 on this particular sculpt, most of the shapes will read at that level of subd ! check the quicksculpt thread for inspiration . Good luck !
Man, I've really enjoyed seeing you progress through this one. Riri is an interesting choice too. I'm always intrigued what it might be about a certain character that draws some people in and inspires them - was there any specific reason you wanted to tackle this Ironheart?
Hey! Thanks so much! This is awesome feedback! I'll focus on making the material to look sharper for sure and I agree I need more thought into the harmonica/mic thing. I love the karaoke inspired head gear idea.. so definitely look out for that :)
thanks Man :D Initially the inspiration was diesel punk and Tor Fricks mech work, but the project has definitely shifted! I have changed my reference to be more like the fallout power armor and that 50s robot design for the clunkyness yet retaining smooth panels.
I want to move into being able to also design props, so I decided to give making a quick sword ago, I was inspired mostly by weapons that would be found in games such as WoW or Diablo. I had a lot of fun with this and I will definitely be making more.
Try giving this thread a read: https://polycount.com/discussion/181140/unreal-4-terrain-blending-tool-inspired-by-star-wars-battlefront Also, in Unreal you can kind of fake a smooth transition by using TAA dithered pixel depth offset in your material.
Here's some silhouette I drew. For the base/shadow assassin scythe I think i'll go with the number 4, this one gives me the most the arclight vibe and I really like it. MIght inspire myself from tthe number 1 for the demon one.
I wanna start with another personal project. I think is going to be an abandoned warehouse used as a hacker's hideout. I've been gathering reference pics and doing a little concept art inspired by the way FZD does theirs. Next step is making bricks in substance!
Ever since your Cgtalk post apocaliptic entry i've been in love with the way you do your topology. You're a great inspiration and its great to have you aboard the big green. This mesh is looking might nice. Can't wait to see it animate;)
Nizza... you said we can have a cookie if we guess your inspiration... WHERE THE FACK IS MAI COOKIE! Everything is looking amazing man... please finish this though as you are slowly turning into a Ben Regimbal... producing awesome work, BUT NEVER FACKIN FINISHES!!!!!!!!!!!!
