Awesome work! I feel like some of it could be a little bit higher poly. Like the cobblestones for example. The trees look a bit weird imo. And the leaking decals don't blend in very well. I also agree about the cobblestone pattern.
Update on the scene: i've fixed up the lighting and some post issues, added in some of the smaller assets, just need to get the inside of the door out now and a few things that go around the walls. Plus some dirt decals for the wall tiles
nice UV layout. its an art in itself to tetris your UVs. the 'death by ump' decal takes away from the gun unless it were used by mercenaries or something. but it definitely wouldn't be on a private police force gun. they have a chalkboard in the locker room for that...
Thanks! Ya I agree on the road and sky, still have the default UDK skybox so that's on the list of things to change. I also plan on getting some decals for wear on the road so hopefully that'll make it look a bit more interesting.
More thumping of said horse... Dirt on noise turns into, lost detail. Dirt on vanilla turns into detail seen. Its the same crack "decal" on both textures. (Not exactly true, I had to turn the brightness down for it to even show up on the brick.)
Another set of Wips The changes in this environment were mostly gameplay (added jump pads and connected two rooms vertically) and lighting related (increased the intensity of coloured lights darkened the hallways). Biggest visual addition is some decals on the walls, pillars and doors.
I liked the tanks too, although the textures seemed a bit uninspired,with a standard dirty metal feel. The mesh was nice though! Could use some more details and decals. I'd recommend removing that windmill from the samples, it needs some work...
Great stuff. Seeing this is especially cool for me - you seem specialized in same areas as myself and you eventually got to work on both of them. on second screen i find it weird that only one bolt has a decal below it, that's nitpicking though.
Looking at it again...the magazine is also kind of questionable "It looks like it can only hold 5 rounds" which a regular service pistol can carry more... On the side note the design looks awfully similar to a Scorpion just that with some decals and plates.
I've come from the shadows to provide you all with and update! Building interiors have modeled and UV'd, and I'm now applying textures to them. Just need to finish the street and Antique building before moving on to props and decals. Comments and critiques are welcomed.
