I got really lazy with the back. Why I even showed it, I don't know....Also played with this more. A couple ray guns have showed up in the recent past so I dusted mine off to join in the fun. It's a prototype crank-charging cartridge-based teleforce hand cannon. *~zaaaap*
thanks hawken, yeah its pretty much straight out photo textures from google which always helps for realism and didnt have much time for lighting :P it was just a speed model for fun and learning :) havent done any game quality models in a while so Im really looking forward to DW IV
Haha Zoid that is super awesome! having fun with interacting beasties, this was made in 1.5 day. Our group of 3 made the tentacly jellyfish :D unfortunately we had some last minute probs, so the searching eye didn't really move up. Hey, I wanted to do a classic painting... I found this Van Gogh church. So I did it. Some of the stuff on that painting makes no sense, and is up to interpretation. But hey it's Van Gogh. That's kind of what made it fun (and maddening haha). It's not 1 for 1, so some things may be off for convenience sake or because I…

That's awesome gauss, cool brush style. :) @ Neox That's looking really cool, cant wait to see the low poly. :) did a little bit more on my soldier chap: Perhaps I should have modelled everything instead of sculpting off a base mesh. :P Oh well, more fun this way. edit: Notorious P.I.G that toaster is amazing. :)
@ kio - Thanks for the breakdown! Very helpfull! @ Spacey - I agree with you that it all blends together too much - Im definitely going to work on that for my next model. @ ImSlightlyBored - thats amazing work - I love stylized 3d, and that image you posted is very nice. Looks like thats going to be a very fun scene to…
nice one neox.. put her into airborn, I say again. There has to be an desert Island for sure :) but I havn't found a real use for polypaint yet (for character work) I costs a lot of time and it costs even more time to convert the outcome for texture work. So do you have any tricks / time savers or is this just for fun?
warriah: hah. Thats tight. The pant creases seem super sharp to me. Perhaps back it up a tad? Anyone in particular? HAL: Cool gun. Looks like it could be kicked around up a little bit. dirt, scratches, ect. Help make it stand out a little more.. I bet that was really fun getting into source. lol. Good job!
