I'd do whatever you think will give you the widest possibility to net the job you're after. Doing armor would be good, but gets done an awful lot. It also might limit the positions you would be considered for. I'm not exactly sure what type of job your after, but having a great environment piece like what you would get out…
Woah it feels so good to see a Boboesque texture sheet again! Totally love that rat! Beautiful and disgusting just like Irritant pointed out I just feel like the contrast between armor and body was stronger in the concept (light grey/dark grey) than in the finished piece (pink+brown/brown+gold). How would that look if the…
Impressive! I haven't been keeping up on Starcraft2 so whats a Gidralisk? Looks like a Hydralisk to me? Must be a new unit? Crits: The armor plates/scales tend to hang off away from the body a bit and be kind of chipped and cracked, but you have really smooth flat plates. Good chunks of the body are covered in uniform ribs…
Hello there! For my new personal project I want to push myself, so I decided to make a remake of the character Sebille from the game DOS2 and share my progress. I'm aiming for a game ready character in a more realistic looking style, kind of like Baldurs Gate 3. References of Sebille's in-game model and promotional/cover…
Weirdly I never even considered using actual sculpting in real life.. I will have to try it when I can afford some clay :) thanks for the advice! Also I redid the nyx colours to make them a lot less garish, also reworked the armor so the spikes lead directly into the body at parts. Kinda made me realise how strange nyx's…
Reinhardt in game doesn't bother me, but this guys baby arms bother me. I know the costume wasn't finished, but even the final version that won the cosplay contest at Blizzcon last year was "off" because of "anatomical inaccuracies" between real life humans and the stylized Rein armor. Personally I like what this guy did…
Yeah this for the Battle of the Titans, my friend showed me the contest, so I decided to join. I am using different references for my Titan. I want it to look like a Titan, but nothing that has been seen before. I am working on the neck muscles more and made it more muscular overall. Still messing around with body armor or…
I think you meant Lich King, not Lick King haha. You should break the bits of armor into several meshes so you can work out the anatomy more. I definitely think sculpting them into the main mesh is not a good idea as this can result in wonky armor pieces if not done well. I take it you are referring to the Lich King from…
lookin great, that LC concept is turning out really nice. You picked E and F to block out from your concept sheet, which were my favorites before i scrolled down to see the blockout. You could maybe push the fur coming out from under the armor on her left side a little more, make it a little larger/bulkier. You were saying…
Looking great! but I feel theres WAY to much symmetry on this armor and face I recommend that you do some different damage on the armor here and there so its less symmetry + maybe pull some of his teeth up and down and maybe have a broken one 2 and some cuts in his skull and so on. Edit: I totally agree with Cibo make him…
