just seems you were doing a lot of extra work in the api, when the exact same thing can be done with less code in mel, or python via cmds or pymel. when in the end execution is almost the same anyways. i tend to switch between the api, and scripting depending on the what needs to be done, and since the api is good for… -

I do the same as Jerry, notepad++ and 3DSMax for viewing. Does the job for learning it, and it's not complicated like I found FXcomposer. ShaderFX is a bit different, as a node-based editor. But it is a perfect learning tool also, it provides you and easy way to generate HLSL code for which you thought of the logic before… -
[Maya 2009] X-Ray mode with vertex color?
Already some years I work with vertex color under Maya and it will create shit render with the x-ray mode in the viewport. I would like to know if there is a solution about it or I have to create a patch detecting if there is vertex color and I switch on the vertex color transparency. Let me know.... Thanks! :) -

Mari projection painting comes out pixelated
just started using Mari and I'm trying to figure out projection painting.
