hi, this is my first time posting my WIP stuff :) so i hope i don't post it at wrong section. currently im making a post-apocalyptic little town in UDK , uhmm..its pretty early so there's no actual town stuff in it just yet but there will be :) feel free to leave a feedback and advices :D
is it udk or ue3 that you're talking about? if its UDK there is no real "game" that you need to have. Just the 800mb install from udk.com should give u everything u need.
pjl: I'm afraid the wireframe in UDK is too messy to be able to see anything but here's the wires of some of the assets. The rest is in similar resolution. The tesselation is pretty dense to allow for vertex-painting later on. And here's how the stove looks when it's in UDK:
I remember about a year ago there was an awesome thread of an animation that I believe was in UDK. It reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus and had a giant boss battle. It was some type of elemental I think. I'm pretty sure it was a senior thesis or something, but I remember it being EPIC! If anyone remembers, please post…
Replaced the UDK foliage with my own I think I need to tweak some of the leaf placements they're looking a bit erratic Afterwards going to move onto that flag and then FINALLY no more udk stock assets in the scene :)
Almost every game with Unreal Engine i know uses DirectX 9 or 10 or does the UDK only have ogl support?! Using DX Ripper is definately possible from my point of view and has been done with normal ut3 models before^^ http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=609411 this should work with the UDK too ^^
I cant get rid of this white flickering around the ferns in my scene. they show up at certain angles and they're really annoying! Any ideas how to fix them. On the diffuse map where the white shows, there is a dark green so the white makes no sense. and on the spec map I even made that area black in hopes of fixing it.…
Hello! I have a quick question. When you make a game (or level, prototype, or whatever) and cook it, do the system requirements for the game stay the same as the ones for UDK itself? I'm creating a readme file for a prototype I'm working on and I'm curious. I hope my question makes sense! If they are the same, where can I…
Hey guy's I'm having a problem with my lighting in UDK, This happens after bake and before, there is nothing wrong with the model or lightmaps. (that i'm aware anyway) :) Here the specular is working correctly between the 2 tiles But after rotating this the lighting is reacting totally wrong? i need to rotate these tiles…
So after watching a few of the Guild Wars 2 concept art videos, I found a few environments that I really liked. I've decided to take them into the UDK, and to polish them up as worthy portfolio pieces. There are currently 4 scenes I'd like to tackle, and this is the first! I just started on this a few hours ago, and it's…
