I just got back from a business trip there two weeks ago. I had a blast! We ate some things I would never have tried on my own. The most unique was Cow face. They served us a cow skull split in half. The meat was sliced but still attached to the skull. It wasn't bad! Definitely hit up the fake market for the experience…
Thighs and breasts are bloated, there is no muscular volume. Calf muscles are incorrect. The arms also lack musculature and look a bit like drink straws. The chin looks unnaturally sharp and the skull shape is hard to see because you haven't provided a turn around. These are just a few things. Practice on male and female…
well, you could create a small selection of hairstrips for the strands that cover the skull and ones to cover the ponytail. at least two different texture-snippets for each for the sake of variety. geometry should be pretty wide - you don't want to add tons of really thin strips to cover the skull. then lay out splines…
Hi Guys, lately I was working in blocking of some armor bones and gold parts, For my version of this blind king I've changed the shapes of the bones and I removed the skull in the top of the head, But yeah this is the blocking: https://www.artstation.com/yeibodmer https://www.instagram.com/yeibodmer3d
I think the second one you have there would be better. You want a fairly neutral/generic face and I think the brow ridge on the first is a bit extreme. The hair could be confusing for figuring out the skull shape maybe something like this is better?
The upper part of the cranium is too compressed from a front perspective. This is usually the first problem I notice in newer characters. The parietal bone in the back and the rest of the skull is surprisingly large and more rounded than you currently have it. Good start... keep working!
Well I actually thank you for posting them because up until now I didn't have any REAL reference photos for anything except the human skull which I only just got last week ;) anyways will watch this thread
Ok, this angle is more informative. I hope you don't mind me painting over your screenshot. These may or may not work but I'd definitely try them: EDIT: Also, check out this skull to see what may be wrong with your cheekbones:
Awesome paintover man very helpful! Definately gonna make the lips and teeth very asymmetrical and messed up, and for the secondary forms I'm gonna try and give some underlying skull formation to his face. Also huge fan of your stuff man :)
- This skull was fun. I always envy people's ability to get super vibrant, sherberty pallettes looking natural. This didn't come out great, but it's actually way easier than I expected. Here's the cheater black background version. From concept jam
