I'm doing a tank model for a game project we got quite recently, The tank is supposed to have three different types of weapon systems, a 120 cannon, a gattling gun and a missle launcher. This is just a wip so it's far from finished. Constructive criticism is welcome
Hy! My 3ds Max 2014 load up painfully slow. I dont know why, but the loading time is almost 1,5 minute. Any idea, how to speed up loading speed? Thanks!
Thanks @JonJo ! I love how your scene is coming along! Here is a breaker box i've just finished, 2k texture, 12k triangles. Most of the cables (the thin ones) are 5 sided cylinders.
I was having the same problem with my server room scene and MaYdaY suggested the follow console variables. These worked great for me. r_DynTexMaxSize = 400 e_ShadowsMaxTexRes = 4096 r_ShadowJittering = 6 e_ShadowsConstBias = 1 e_ShadowsCastViewDistRatio = 1.5
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. :) It took me about 1,5 hours to create the new preset and apply it to all the textures in the scene. What I wanted was more grime and to better accentuate the edges.
With the progress you have shown in 1,5 years and another 3 years to go ..... honestly I don't see any problem! Don't know if it helps but everyone in this industry is (or has been) working their asses off.
To convert from 120 fps to 60 fps you could use the freeware program ffmpeg. Some information here https://superuser.com/questions/1024434/convert-high-speed-video-to-normal-by-subsampling-frames
