Enable "crack free displacement" in the tessellation settings, and set maximum displacement to a high value. If things still disappear, you may need to adjust the bound scale of the mesh.
It definitely has an effect. :) It will convert the XML code over to the SUITE 2.X standard, which will also enable material thumbnails in the DDO window and allow for reimporting, etc.
For the viewport problem, a script can disable redraw, do its stuff, then enable it again at the end. Don't have the code handy, but I remember it being pretty straightforward.
No worries m8. You just disabled the tool tip. Go to Window: Settings/Preferences and Preferences. In a window under categories There is a Help menu and just Enable Tool messages.
In UDK, hmmmm I'm thinking something like a light with a special channel enabled? Then decals, that are set to this lighting channel only? Doesn't seem that hard now that I think of it.
I've made all of these materials 2 sided, so surely it shouldn't cause this issue? I can't seem to fix it. Any ideas? The meshes have cast shadows enabled too.
To disable AA set Samples to 1x. You may want to disable the other map types while baking the mat ID, as this will disable AA for all types that are currently enabled.
