Hey guys, I'm jumping into Maya to learn how to animate with it and was wondering... Is there a Character UI selector that comes with Maya, or a MEL script somewhere out there? Something like this?
Is there ANY way to render the smooth mesh preview (3 key) with maya software renderer? This is for an animation shot on maya 2013. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Maya 2015 isn't showing the "For the Suite" including Maya option for using the 3dsMax interaction mode as described on their help. Any ideas? Edit: Max has the same issue: Was interested in cross training from 3ds to Maya and this might ease the transition. If it works.
I've done some searches on this and haven't found a way to do this within Maya. If this really isn't built into Maya it's a disgrace. Thanks in advance if you can tell me how to do it, or what plugin I need to install that's compatible with with Maya 12 x64.
Max's quad chamfer versus Maya Poly bevel. I messed around with the settings but I can't get it to work in maya. Any tips or tricks? I will be doing alot of hardsurface in maya. Do you guys use poly-bevels or creases?
I'm still learning Maya at the moment. I was wondering what your approach is to getting a hi poly ZBrush file from Zbrush into Maya? I exported out of ZBrush as a Maya file and as a .obj. Each time the model comes in flipped. Is this common?
