Hey, when i hit export "all" on zbrush goz, only the first subtool shows in max (2012) All subtools are exported as obj in C: \Users\Public\Pixologic\GoZProjects\Default So it seems that max fails at importing the other subtools. Did anyone already have this issue ? It seemed flawless and staightforward :[ Thanks ! edit:…
Watch Full Movie- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE4KSI2h1-0&t=3s A computer-animated short film about a sick house that must be cured before it can be sold. This is my senior thesis film I created at Ringling College of Art and Design using Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Pixar's Renderman, The…
I'm trying to offload a Zbrush license, so I'm selling my single-user license (4R7) for OS X. I'm mostly a programmer/designer, so this was just a hobby and I've completely run out of time, so someone should use it: It's $400 and here:…
The "vertex color in OBJ file" is a massive hack that Pixologic added in the last couple of years - it's not actually part of the OBJ file format specification (which is why most importers won't use it). They basically shoved the Polypaint vertex colour information into the OBJ file as comments so "standard" OBJ importers…
Not sure about it going on sale but Pixologic allows you to resell your license so you could probably find it discounted from someone selling their own copy. Personally I think ZBrush is probably the best value for the money of any 3D app I've ever owned and as mentioned, unlike Autodesk products if it ever ceases to be…
Finally posting an update. Ran into some problems with my PC, so I lost some progress, but thankfully I did backup a file that didn't go to far back. I'm working on the chair as well in ZBrush. Retopologizing parts and refining the shapes more. First, I'll have to reinstall ZBrush and reactivate it after I have Pixologic…
Lee, That all makes sense. I wish you the best of luck with this. My two cents on the sculpting package....ZBRUSH!!!!! That program is amazing. On top of the fact that I already think the program is superior and has tons of functions that mudbox does not, every update that pixologic puts out has some new mind-blowing…
[steam] subtools are a half assed. half baked. weak as f__k implementation of such a fundamental feature as working with multiple objects. the technical wizards at that company have absolutely no f__king idea of usability. pixologic is an oxymoron [/steam] you might want to take a look at this plugIn :…
This panel loop tutorial on the pixologic site was pretty cool. http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/lesson/panel-loops/ Your needs should probably dictate what approach you take though, Zbrush may work for what you need using Dynamesh or ZRemesh or whatnot but as Ravenslayer said it may be more useful to look into a…
yeah, if your machine is decent speed and not having trouble keeping up you could just bump up that average, pixologic site suggests adjusting that for a lot of different issues. something to try other then of course using freehand instead of dots and moving your mouse more slowly. is it while you are using the same brush…
