@Andreas and Notman Thanks alot, walked in punched the MD in the face, they called the police and asked dismissed me for gross misconduct..it didnt work!! lol I kid I kid!
Working on the suit. Decided not to use MD for the suit portion it's so skin tight it wasn't producing the results I wanted in the cloth sim. Will be using it for the scarf and the clothing on the right in the concept.
What are your MD export settings? You can export welded quads. Those orange dots are not verts, they are from the Control cage of the dynamic subdiv that you have turned on.
I think it's vital to learn to do them manually first. MD is a fantastic tool but there's no guarantee you will have access to it at every job and the best artists can do both.
Head shape is a tad funny, as I had to move it around to avoid clipping with the cap. Quick fool-around with MD. Going to begin detailing and puffing out the jacket now.
I had an idea over the weekend and decided to take a bit of a break from Gar and play around with MD for a bit. I've been wanting to make use of MD's Trace UV to pattern utility and I decided this could be a cool experiment. I created a spherical, non-constant spring shape as the frame and then fit a low poly sphere over…
Wow that's some impressive work! Did you use MD only for a base model and than adjusted it in Maya? A video of the process would be a great learning experience, for me atleast haha.
I've been sorely tempted to reinstall recently. RA3 and some of the crazy #md custom dm settings (low grav grapples) are some of my all-time favourite gaming memories.
