Just got back into my japanese scene and added some bend to the wood to give it some age. also started working on this to keep my hard surface urges at bay! Feel free to crit away at both!
Kyle, that's stunning! I love the tones on the stone blocks. It's a little hard to tell what material of the trim around the door is though. If it's wood I'd say it needs a slight hue change to take it away from the brass knobs :)
SHROOMS! My friend said he wanted me to show him how to make some mushrooms. I knew not how to make mushrooms, so I made these as a test. Thinking I should stick to hard surface ;)
Know what it's like, have tried many times to get a good cliff face for my underground scene, really hard to get right. You seem to be right on track :) Looks like it could do with another subdivision.
got carried away and finished up first mega low texture thing ive done oddly... found it quite hard also a little embarrassed i thought the sculpt might be of use on a 128 textured head :P
Millenia: Really good job, having a hard time telling my brain it looked like that in 1.6 :) Specially the wood and highlights are better and the shell ejection part is almost full white on the original, yours have a better balance to it.
Not the most original, but this is what I've been working on lately; currently just high res time-flux engine and cv-curve cage. This is my first car/true hard surface model, so I'll see how it goes.
What a beautiful page 349 it is! Thunderent: A typical crit of hard surface work - edges are too tight, loosen them up. I don't think the outer rim of the wheels would bake well, i'd give it a wider lip.
kk armour block-in done....using some of the techniques from mike jensens hard surface dvd and lotsa dynamesh...next up is re-topo of individual sections so that I can sculpt them up good and proper :)
