i hear ya. i haven't seen any yet. i've asked the environment team for links and will let you know. in the meantime, enjoy this video showcasing some of the new environments in RoS: http://youtu.be/ebt3rErv6LE
Our team has our concept and is ready to ROCK. Anyhoo, opinions & bitching is perfectly fine. I just hope nothing deters people from showcasing their skillset as I think that would be pretty silly of them.
Thanks tharle, that did it, i still have NO idea why this is happening, maybe a bug? no idea. so if i'm mostly using udk to showcase artwork, should i always turn the nomipmapp setting you think?
Yo! Thought I'd might make this tiny new thread to showcase my new main image for this environment in UDK. Would love to hear any feedback on it because I am very curious ^^ Newest Update: Last Update:
Started a new wiki page, inspired from the nice hair work from slipgatecentral, but also to hopefully showcase wires & techniques from various artists. http://wiki.polycount.com/Hair%20Techniques If you've got any cool examples, I'd love to see 'em.
Whats up, I'm sure this question has been asked before but I was hoping that someone could help me out a little and explain a good lighting setup for showcasing your models. I typically use 3 omni lights...much appreicated...
Decided to showcase Akali as my splash art idea however I do not want to go for the modern day clothing snow down idea with ice picks; not as interesting to me. Here is a page of my reference board! :D
That's just the highpoly at the moment, it just had a simple tiling roughness map over the top of it all just to showcase it a bit better. The lowpoly will have all the dirt detailing. It will be for sale in the future though, keep an eye out for that.
model a gun -- or better yet, go into the showcase forum and find people working on gun models -- and use any free rig that has decent hands (i'd use something like norman, if you're working in maya).
Also see this one. If you need more accurate reflection on some object, you'll want to place some actor right near it with smaller range. https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Resources/Showcases/Reflections/index.html
