It's the internet - just like the hate prior to this generation but without the lulz over geometrically challenged haters: "When I saw the new Xbox I did a 360 and walked away!!"
Awesome when he punches that dude in the face Looks cool, its hard to judge GTA games until you play them. I'm looking forward to shoving this in the 360.
If it's a 360 exclusive that's fine, as I'll be getting that console anyways. It's a damn impressive engine, and I'm trying to convince our own studio to pick it up. It's quite spendy, but certainly worth it.
It's saying £19.99 when I try on the 360, and when I try the web download I get this: "Sorry This item is not available for purchase from Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web."
360 version is 10 @ newegg w/ free shipping http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874154011&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL072809&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL072809-_-Xbox360VideoGames-_-LP3B-_-74154011
That's why the PC, 360, and PS3 versions are called the "uncaged edition"... Because they don't suck, like the rest of the SKU's. Raven only made those, so there's no guarantee of awesomeness for the others.
This is my first progress screen. ~6000 tris. This i work for my future gameart portfolio. Do you think 6000 tris is to heavy for at next-gen game prop? (xbox 360, ps3) Is 2048*2048 textures a bit to much?
Welcome to the 'Retro 3D FAQ', a thread dedicated to sharing information about the creation of 3D art for game consoles made before the age of programmable pixel shaders. If you enjoy the look of 3D games from the 90's and early 2000's, and would like to learn how to make such art yourself, this is the thread for you! :)…
