Maya 2009: Uv 1:2 rotation issue
It seems as if when your UV's image ratio is changed from 1:1 into 1:2 or 2:1, the snaps and rotation become broken. Snapping verts will spaz-out and rotating elements will skew to undesired shapes. Ok, I would suggest coming to a stop before you get to far. Megalmn has a great point. Get the entire vehicle blocked out using basic forms. An easy way to think of this is limit yourself to a low number of triangles, say 200 and complete the entire shape of the tank in that or less. As for 'support edges' I don't mean… -

I can't read your paintover for the life of me but... The way I go about it is I establish texel density from the get-go and I design my module pieces to the right size to avoid stretching as much as possible. You must be able to look at your texture space and see how long/wide, etc. the piece you will map to said space… -

Thanks for the help once again. It is working .. I think :) So i started early in the morning and it was sunny but somehow for the first 1 hour I did not notice I was taking the shots with 1600 ISO :( silly me. any way later on i fixed this and moved it back down to 100-200 since it was sunny and played with the shutter… -

Why cant we use visual tricks in gaming? Its work in traditional art for centuries. The mnu file are located here: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\2009 - 32bit\enu\UI, not in max root directory So, when you on other PC try to load all mnu's and other files. Then close max and run it again.
