Like the title says im gonna try and model as much as possible using only zbrush. So far these meshes are just dynameshed cubes and spheres. Gonna retop them and create nice clean topology for hipoly loveliness :) Concept by Oskar Pavlovskis Beauty Render
so just been playing around with ZBrush on the mobilestudio tryina get used to it... plus trying out the sculptris pro on ZBrush, gotta say i love it more than dynamesh!! check out this... just a doodle done in an hour :) what do you guys think?!?!
The dynamesh like thing can be done in blender too without the Pablo branch, but is not as good performance wise. (6m tri for this) @musashidan man you don't have a tutorial on how to bake the bevel shader with hard edges in the lowpoly?, i can't get that thing right.
I got rid of most of the texturing and brought to a lower subdivision to Dynamesh the face properly. I have tried to get the facial structures more in tact and would be very appreciative a critique on where I might be going wrong or what I may have missed.
I would make sure you are staying at a lower subdivision until you really feel like you have accurately represented the main forms. Then move up to create the smaller details. Moving up to fast, especially with dynamesh, can lead to lumpy meshes.
Right now I am currently working on a plane and sculpting detail in it. Even with individual planks I am still getting this result. I am zooming by alt+click. Would it be better to work on this as a dynamesh maybe? I am currently doing subdivision levels.
Thank you both for the advice, I think I may have pushed the dynamesh too much from with I was getting the very basic bust shape to blocking in. I'll adjust it back down to around 32 and start blocking from there. this is very helpful thanks!
one way to improve this piece wold be breaking up the clean structure right now this is a perfect rock as all the sides and edges are unbroken. Rocks are often fracturing and and naught perfect. Zbrush is a great tool for doing this eg. live boolen, mallet brush, or subtractive dynamesh.
Windows 10 64 bit, Intel core i5, 2.30 GHz, 8gb 4522 points it does the same thing for each sub tool I try and dynamesh. Sometimes Zbrush just tells me its going to collapse the whole mesh into one point.
Hey JadeEyePanda, Thanks for the reply You're very right about the resolution. I used Dynamesh to sculpt this from scratch, I wasn't using any low base poly for it. So I wasn't really paying attention to the proportion that seems to be the problem right now.
