does somebody know where i can get a small trackball unit to solder into my xbox 360 controller to have it instead of the right stick? i hate moving the view with a stick i only fount keyboards for about 40 bucks with right sized trackballs or huge trackballs that would never fit
It looks like it could alpha cards sticking out of the jacket with transparency mimicking fuzzy strings sticking out. Or if this character was made with a Film/TV workflow, and reasonable polycount was not a concern, all of the loose strings might be little procedural generated meshes.
EQ, it's the principal of the thing. The idea that sticking up for yourself, and for others, is the only way to protect your rights. It wasn't a comparison to the holocaust, I don't think. Just a good quote about being a good human. Sticking up for your neighbors.
You can totally still keep the character a polce man even with the changes. How you make that guy a cop is based less on what you wrote on the paper, and is more based on what you visually communicate. What you drew, it does not read police man, it reads cyborg. What makes a police man a police man varies. Could be a weird…
well, i would have said the same, see if everything is welded or see if there is anything welded which you didnt want to be welded if everything fails, remake it and see if it gets better. or you put another edit poly on top of the stack and just edit the verts that stick out... edit (over 10 years later, as I find this…
I don't know as I haven't watched the vid. But I doubt it's mostly n-gons. Yes, one for baking, one as the production mesh(game model asset) I'll talk about the production game mesh specifically. Regardless of the topology of the mesh a game engine will render the geometry as triangles. N-gons are unpredictable if imported…
I have to echo Rob on how crazy Xref's can be in max. We made the mistake of including them in our pipeline for one game, and it burned us pretty good. I personally won't go near them again. They even tried to woo people back by claiming they where fixed in 2008 but all the same bugs (and some new ones) existed and where…
This is so good, I admire the way you chose to stick to a clean design, I would have been tempted to stick loads of armor on him and it made it too busy. Looking forward to seeing how the texture progresses!
Um... apparently DXTnm sticks the red channel in the alpha, keeps the green channel, and wipes the red and blue channels with constant colours. (source) Why does it stick non-constant information in the green channel if it's "really, really shitty"? :/
I would probably make it a closed mesh, not pieces. Then just follow the shillouette. It looks mainly cylindrical with the leaves sticking out, so I would only have those parts sticking out, and being combined into a cylinder.
