er - just one comment - all the ('display only') link buttons are white and bright and attract one's attention - but then your name is all hidden and merged with the top line - i've doen a little mock-up of how you could change it and make it a little softer as well - another thing i've learnt from comments bout my own…
My personal experience is that geforce cards require huge fans and suck battery, where as ati cards don't appear to require such fannage... in fact I am running an ati card and my fans never kick in even with HL2 at it's highest settings. oh that and a Geforce "GO" card melted my laptop. Which HP couldn't fix. I think more…
GDC 2016 is right around the corner, and it's shaping up to be a doozy. Tons of cool things are happening for game development this year, including the release of consumer virtual reality hardware from Oculus and HTC/Valve. So, who's going? What are your plans? Hey guys quick question, I'm working on a arcade environment and many of the assets deal with lots of those little light bulbs that attract people's attention on the more old school arcade/fair games. I was wondering if there is any way to model them without using to many polys. In order to get the silhouette right I had…
During the process of working on my Cloud Strife model I managed to learn a lot along the way, but I realise that my work is still crap and far away from the industry standard. Planning: My research regarding the scene began with getting to know the region i am designing the…
Your English in terms of conversing via text, is fine. In fact without seeming to be patronising, slightly better than I'm able most of time articulate a sentence, people can understand and I'm a native speaker! Especially when attempting to describe a gamedev, aspect or related issue due to this medium's reliance upon…
Looking at it now with fresher eyes, I would say you are absolutely right with the light in the top left. I'll keep that in mind for my next projects. As for the brightly lit areas, I was using the concept I had as reference, but I felt that the contrast between the 'cold/dark' areas of the room and the brightly lit lamp…
I'm itching to talk about what we're doing here. But we're a publicly traded company, and there's stiff competition in our space. So I'll point you to past experience when I was in game dev, and when I was freelancing as a lead. Outsourcing initially appears very attractive for scaling production, and trying to make the…
