Getting Close to the deadline! Added more detail to the floor and tried to add cracks and a bit of ware to the pillars. Im a bit undecided on whether to make the back wall stone brick or just stone (give it like a cave ish effect).
The hard blend from grass to dirt to stones doesnt' really work. You might want to just do grass to dirt and then stone models or something. Not really sure. I would vary up the tree size some as well.
The lighting and color of the scene looks awesome! not so sure about the pathway however, it looks like haphazardly stacked slices of stone? However I like the other textures especially the stone columns that are supporting the roof. looking forwards to seeing more ^_^
Really nice man, I absolutely love those stones! My only gripe; one of the stones in the first picture looks a little blurry. The big one off to the left, and copied again directly behind the tree. Not a big problem though!
crazyfingers- thanks, i would put rock statue detail on him....except this is the gargoyle from the show gargoyles from the 90's....and although they do turn into stone..he's not stone in this sculpt. I wanted to do a lively sculpt of lexington.
Fixed up the stone fence, also sculpted a tilling texture/geometry to use for most of the stone walls. For the roof I sculpted and textured a couple roof tiles in 3D Coat and then built a few modular pieces using those tiles in blender.
Hello, I need a feedback to this. This is a bandit base entrance in forest. I want it look stylized, but not so much. Stones need some work, but when I sculpt some stone, it looks ugly. Image was rendered in Blender. Model is created too in blender. Thanks for any feedback
Looks pretty solid, but you should try to paint in some color variation between the stones. Depending on how pristine you want the scene to look you might want to consider making some dirt and/or moss between the stones as well.
Alright I made some changes but feel I am having some issues with the adding of color within the stones. I will keep working on this. The variation in the stone shapes is better and feels much better, I will continue to work on this aspect as well.
ahoy ahoy here is a small update of my stone wall :) i used polypaint and spotlight in zbrush to add the stone texture. now i will use moss and stuff to let it look weathered. after that i will bake the texture on the lowpoly model.
