I did but its hard for people to give a recommendation when we still do not know what your going to sell. You will need to tell anyone you attempt to sell this to what it is. A script, brush , modeling whatever but something more then provided
Quickest way I can think of right off the top of my head is to write a quick script to check if the face center/vertex is facing towards or away from the source geometry's face. If it's facing away from the normal, that means it's inside the volume.
Hi @Wiktor Unity doesn't have tempral aa, which gives good screenshots without aa https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/script-Antialiasing.html But yes, capturing in high res and scaling down is allowed. However, do not allow any additional retouches.
huh... that's pretty awesome how u can preview the UV and model ripping in realtime on the lowpoly.. :) . The only downside is exporting to OBJ, although I could write a script to do that in 1 click probably, but still. Otherwise, looks awesome, thanks for the link.
Sorry if I came off as a bit rude, bad thread titles are a bit of a pet peeve. If you do a search you might find the other thread about making custom primitives, IIRC there's a plugin or a script that lets you do this easily.
I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "weld the edges". Is there a mel script or something that does that, because I see no tool like that in Maya 2011. Frankly, this bridge tool is a pain in the ass, unlike Modo's which just works.
I'd love it to have all kinds of infos, from a place where everyone can upload tutorials they've made, which will hopefully be nicely categorized, to write ups on pros and cons of various 3d programs to explanations of tecniques, to links to helpful scripts.
I'm pretty sure it rebuilds the vert table every time, even with the guruware obj export plug-in that was rolled into 2010. Morphix will reorder the verts from one mesh to match another as long as they are identical. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/morphix
might want to try scripts! =) Scriptspot is gonna become your best friend if you re switching from maya to max. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/pivot-by-2-vertex Select vertices, press key and tadam, pivot aligned to those.
Snader: thx but i already unwrap it Vailias: thx, i would have never decipher it without ur help. cuz i never learn expressions in wire parameter or max script. my school didnt really prepare us enough.
