Hey guys, dont know if this is a common issue or if im just completely missing something (Cant get anything out of Google). For some reason I cant enable "Cavity Mask", its just greyed out. Im using Standard brush with RGB enabled and Zadd/ZSub disabled. Ive tried restarting Zbrush too. Any help would be appreciated!
I think Zack Fowler is on the money here, and this was posted in the general UDK thread a few days ago too by us and others - the question of how to disable lightmap mips still remains, though. I think we have to band together and go knock on Epics door with sheepish requests one of these days...
cheers for the comment zack I've just modeled a low poly and created a normal map myself. I was thinking of doing a high poly version but as this is near complete i will take that into consideration for my next project. I will work on the textures in the area you have said and should hopefully have an update soon.
I always see that book advertised when I look up anything about Zbrush. Good to know it's worth the price. As far as anatomy lessons go Zack Petroc's skeleton and muscles ztool is pricey but worth it. $40 for the most useful anatomy reference you can get without grave-robbing.

i can't think of an easy way to do this in one pass, but if you want to apply the the texture pass in the exact place you've done the sculpting pass you can use ctrl-1 to repeat your last stroke after changing your brush settings from Zadd to Rgb, disable alpha, etc etc.
