Sorry man, I don't have any experience texturing in Blender. I have no need as I use SP and don't ever do any stylised work. Bpainter looks like your best bet, but as you said, it might not be 100% ready in 2.80 for a few months. Have you contacted the dev for a roadmap?
well, in Blender if bake a texture, a high poly on to a low poly etc, I can have several different normal textures from several different materials all on one map in a single bake, I dont end up with 16 png files. just one, why cant SD or SP do that too?
Actually I have a similar problem with FBXs going into Unity. Models using Editable Poly as the base modifier often come in with twisted UVs or messed-up smoothing. I solve it by simply adding a Turn To Mesh modifier on top, then exporting. Works every time. Not sure if SP would work the same, but worth a try.
If you are exporting with turbosmooth, in the export option do not click on the option for turbosmooth. It's weird, but its supposed to be off for some reason. Also make sure you have set it to "by mesh name" in SP and named them correctly with the high and low suffice.Especially the turbosmooth export option tripped me…

which format do you export? and would it be possible to give us this file for check ? i had some issues with mudbox once but they got fixed after all dependencies were installed properly. latest dx, drivers, SP on OS .net stuff etc. etc. also which version of mudbox you use?

I have the same problem, I just cant find where to turn it on?. When I do a search in the help file, only SD hits comes up. So far, I have fixed it by making a mask. I´m also fairly new to SP :) I´m on v1.4 Kind regards Jama
