Thanks ayoub44, I think I need to make a checklist on these quicker studies, I keep leaving things out, haha. I tried painting a design of a robot that's in medieval armor, but I couldn't get it looking right, so I did some studies on the right. Will probably do loads of design studies tonight so i can design more…
Here is an update to the angel, I added the designs to most of the armor pieces. I also added the base of the hair. I also worked on her body a little, I changed the pelvis a little and added more definition to the legs, and softened up the abs. I am still learning the female anatomy so if you find anything wrong with her…
You're going to receive better feedback from full orthographic views of your work. As in, a nice front, side and perspective view of your character. At a glance, he's looking skinny from the side, but it's tough to tell from the images presented. It goes back to one of those classic problems of is it a human wearing…
Blocking out some of the armor. I started adding the rough details of where im gonna put armor layers on the shoulder plates and chest. The shoulder plates are giving me the most trouble due to having to make them look like they are actually attached to the breast plate vs them floating off her shoulders. Darksiders…
I'm totally going against the crowd here, but I rather liked the rivets, given the theme (Samurai Tank), since I've seen so many examples of samurai armor that uses that sort of rivet structure. At the very least keep the rivets on the sidewall (enclosed within the treads) silvery, since that was the area that screamed…
Isn't his sword on the wrong side? Assuming he reaches across with his right arm to pull it out, then he'd be wielding it with his armored arm, which wouldn't make much sense. He'd want the unencumbered arm holding the sword with his armored side towards the opponent. I think? Not a fan of the beard texture on that dwarf.…
Hello everybody! I've spent some time working on an anime stylized project, where I used an Arnold's toon shader. I wrote this article to not forget how to set up the toon shader next time and maybe help someone else if they struggle with the same thing. Will really appreciate your feedback on my setup! Maybe there was a…
Happy new years guys ) also I started this CharacterProject few days ago. just want to improve in Character creation. aeverything is in block in state. I'll add armor and going to detail armor to make it look more organic. I'm not detailing anatomy where it will be covered mostly. I'd be happy to hear any…
It's taking more time than expected D: Her armor shines like the Sun! For Christ sake, don't stare at her for too long! XD Added a change in the original design, a very important thing in all suits of armor: a chainmail... Well, it's more like a mix within her purple jumpsuit and a chainmail suit... But it's important…
During the process I found I wasn't completely satisfied with the overall look of the armor in the original concept. I was also inspired after doing some research into Tlingit slat armor http://alaska.si.edu/record.asp?id=261. I also thought that the fur-lined underclothes would be kind of redundant on such a hairy…
