Heheh - no I wasnt comparing the 3D to XSI... I've had a browse around XSI myself and know what a different beast it is... just letting of some steam really But yeah - I cant wait to pack in Soft 3D and get over to MAX fulltime.
thanks guys. i've just about got his skull done. i'll post a look tomorrow. if anybody's got any ideas on how they might approach texturing a beast whose pretty much in need of a realtime sss solution. let 'em fly .
I'm curious to see how she handles writing a screenplay, as opposed to a novel. Different beast, but she's a pretty damn talented lady. She's already more wealthy than the Queen, if she wants a new yacht, that's like the rest of us buying a beer.
Best gaming experience too date, well to be fair i played it in 3D, 5.1 surround and with the MOVE controller :) Quick question do you still pump your enviroments through Autodesk Beast* like in killzone 2 to get nice baked lighting??
Now BACK to this factory! I'm done unwrapping and packing my mesh and have gone over to my beauty render model from earlier. GoZ is an unwieldy beast but I really enjoy the results I'm getting when it works. More updates soon!

I like pre-viz, it really feels like "in the belly of the beast". Do you intend to sub-d parts and bake them down to low poly or would you rather leave the geometry as it is and will use vertex normal (or just bevels) on the existing geo?
Thanks a lot @DanBullockArt, I'm planning on getting pretty detailed with the damage to him. I need to tidy the body up before I can start getting into the really small work it's all still dynamesh atm. Are you doing a character for the beast challenge?
