with hand painting there is so much you can do it's almost mind blowing! here's a sword i did a few weeks ago see the handle? that goldish part? the one attaching the handle and the blade together. that's a flat image yet it doesn't look like it through the use of lighting. -

I suppose my main gripe is that everything about hand painted texturing feels too organic, even literally with a wacom. I don't have a great concept of drawing, colour, shading, highlights and whatever else comes with it, and to learn these things will require a lot more time than I'd really like to give - I study 3d maybe… -
