[ QUOTE ] consoles are ment to play games only (or they used to be) but pcs do a wide range of things. not everyone wants to spend $2000 on a computer to be able to make their games run the best that they can be run. Consoles are about having a SET platform where games will run how they are MENT to be run. Spending…
1 - 6 months, sometimes more if i am like, .. "well i do not know this thing right now" & either have to figure it out myself or use someone else's solution for it, which i usually do not do. A calculated time-frame I've never really done, i heard about all them timers but how 100% accurate are they really and you have to…

Hey guys, I've been visiting this website for months now looking at all the cool art you guys pull off. I also noticed how helpful the Polycount community is and was thinking you guys could give me some feedback on my projects. Anyway, I have a school assignment that requires us to make an environment. Last class, we all…
I haven't been this engrossed in a game since Deus Ex! That was many years ago too. Unfortunately Half Life 2 looks like Half Life 1 to me. I have every single detail turned down lowest, and I've got a 2.4Ghz processor, DirectX 9, a Radeon 9600 Pro with the latest drivers, but only 256MB of DDR RAM. I'm getting frame rates…
Oke, I tried changing it to 256/512/1024 and the sizes of the boxes to 16/32/64. It works for all the patterns except the 3:1 herringbone ones. Since the length is 3 times the width, they are 48 by 16. If you divide 256 or 512 or 1024 by 48 it'll give a result with .333 or .666 which will make it impossible to make it…
I have this issue as well. I too am running CC and an ATI card. I finally upgraded from an ancient Sapphire 4870 this past month (note, the issue happened on that card as well) to a new RX 480. Luckily I have an nvidia system at my disposal so this is merely an impediment, not a blocker (I can export bakes from there to…
Look on your timeline at frame 456 for both the Clouds and Snow layers. Both of them have a keyframe at that point which stops all motion, but the layers continue on until frame 500, where the movie loops back to frame 1. The end result is that from frames 457-500, it's just sitting there not doing anything. IF you slide…
@SV_ TTs was originally written for 3ds Max, so the smooth by islands script basically replicates afaik behavior ironically enough, of Max internal Smoothing Groups assignment operation. https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-1244162D-A063-486C-BD9B-168466F6488B…
