You would also be surprised what happens when you actually use real world colors. These people deaden texture color so much it makes lighting look flat. The range between the green they use and the grey of 90% of the objects is small. Not all trees are green hue #123, not all concrete is grey hue #123, not all trees green…
3ds Max got a GLTF export with 3ds Max 2023. GLTF/GLB Import is not there yet but i think they are working on it https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-EFBB037D-C4EB-42D2-9CE1-30FCAD483C31 in the meantime you can use the great BabylonJS expxorters to export from 3ds Max…
Chromium based browsers don't support http since quite a while anymore. That's 95% of all browsers. They redirect everything http to https. Interestingly enough, Opera loads the WIKI fine. https://blog.chromium.org/2023/08/towards-https-by-default.html This is nothing that a user can fix, unfortunately. You need to install…
It's a gradient texture where you choose to clamp at a certain value. So for instance any value below 0,3 gets black and any value greater than 0,3 gets white. Use that as a mask. Then you can animate where to clamp which can result in some interesting results. I've also integrated the normal map transition to dynamically…
Dat sudden realization in marmoset that 0.3 gloss value was default for roughness BEFORE it converts to 1.0 when a roughness map is imported. lel and here I was thinking 0.3 was the actual roughness value from marmo to UE4 inversion. Note to self: Leave a dontnodchart as it is. Damn, what fail xD Thanks for the replies…
The cost of using lerps instead of raw values is negligible and will also help avoid compression artifacts. Consider a material that's roughness blends between 0.2 and 0.3. If you paint these values in the map they will get crunched up by Dxt compression. You're better off painting the mask between 0 and 1 then lerping…
The .223 is just a scaled up .222 bullet, same class as a .22 LR. Yes, quite a difference in cartridge length, but same class of caliber. Here is a pic of the official .22 LR dimensions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:22_long_rifle.svg here is the .223 (which is not totally identical to the military 5.56) it is in…
I have a couple pieces I am unsure of and would like some critique on them. I do take issue with the scarf he's wearing. I've seen them worn at pro palestine protests many of which support islamic terrorism, so does that mean that submissions can be anti-israel? Maybe the chasm idea came from Hamas tunnel construction in Gaza. Going to inquire on the video. More info on the scarf he's wearing,…
