My brother works as an illustrator and has a specific style that he's developed over the years and has clients who come back to him because they want that style of drawing. (accurately proportioned people, a particular colour palette and so on.) Now from time to time he's talked about developing a 'new style' something…
@Azurenito Thanks! He'll definitely have fur all over his body similar to the illustration up there. I'm going to most likely work on that during my detailing phase, or when I find an approach to adding fur that I like. @Pyrzern Lowpoly and posed. @natendo After adding in his pony tail he does look like he's leaning back a…
Trying to apply what I have learned recently into some smaller illustrations. I feel like I have become a lot looser and relaxed. Bit by bit the constant performance anxiety and crushing hopelesness of maybe not making this into a career is dissipating. This one was made on an iPad. Scary stuff working on such a small…
Loomis is by far the best imo. i think his stuff really applies to 3d because he illustrates all the planes of the body and stuff, as if he were making topolgy. that guy understood 3d. anyway, you can just type in Andrew Loomis pdfs. and Im sure youll be able to find it.
Somebody had done a pregnant female character rendered in Vray I spotted earlier this year. It'd make for a nice illustration, but I'm not so sure about actual game characters (unless you're talking the Sims franchise). On a related note: You simply cannot go wrong with Arnie being pregnant!
i feel like there needs to be more of a focal point within the scene, my eyes keep looking for a place to rest and take in the scene as a whole. your lighting could also use a bit of work. heres a quick paintover illustrating some suggestions keep it up, its definitely coming together
@Perkins : Thank you very much for this kind words. I learned lot of thinks with this tutorial "Millenia" tutorial. To do the grid I used Illustrator, copy in photoshop as a coloredpath and after with NDo2 I converted the path to a normal map (don't miss to Overlay the layer). Take a look here => http://www.quixel.se
Man that last castl photo is so surreal :O. Loqq, with your lighting, imagine it is an illustration, and try and place your lights to creat the most interesting composition and colour variation. Remember that whatever colour your light will be the shadows will be the opposite temperature. Warm light= cool chadow, cool…
the real gun is called the HK 45. it's a very new pistol from H&K so not a lot of people know the name. anyway, the model is very well made but your model could use a couple changes to make it closer to the real thing. being a gun nerd it's probably better if i illustrate it...
Ive seen it rigged both ways. Zac's way and Teejays. Teejays is how I was talking about though. I think its the more common way because I think its easier to set up for autoriggers. Thanks for illustrating my point though, guys. I was gonna draw it at lunch :)
