Great work on the textures! Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like the texel density on the brick wall is rather low vs. the rest of the scene. https://80.lv/articles/textel-density-tutorial/
Hi! Maybe also try the forums search function. Texel density is a common topic and you might find information that's useful for your case. (https://polycount.com/search?adv=1&search=Texel+density&title=&author=&cat=all&subcats=1&tags=&discussion_discussion=1&within=6+months&date=Today+) Good luck!
TD on unique assets does not (and most of the time cannot) need to be perfect. Feel free to size up small parts larger to take up space and give it some more resolution, as they are inherently tiny as @iam717 suggests. There's flexibility in either direction of texel density, usually texel density is only "off" ifit is…
I see you have texel density tool in there, and in the video you use the torso of the character to set the limbs and head to be the same texel density as the torso. Does this tool work on uv shells, or do you have to physically separate the model into separate objects to get it to work. Ideally I'd like to select a source…
use i.e. nightshade uv editor or maya 2017 update 3 (where they started to integrate nsuv). there you can apply an exact texel density to objects or read the density of one and apply it to others.
I am part of a development team on the art side, and specifically environments. I have various building kits that can be mixed and matched. However rectangular models such as this window have nasty seams. Now the trade off is that the bricks have the appropriate texel density. Previously this was not the case BUT in that…
