I'm trying to make the hinge on my model of these tank tracks. I followed a 3DS Max tutorial and tried doing it in Blender. the results were not good. Is there a better way to do this in Blender?
will try it out first thing in the morning, thanks! 1 question though: could you explain how you "slice" the geometry ? I never used such a function before (in 3ds Max).
Sorry, Noob question here. What is the best way to model this shoes, especially the sole? Btw, I work with 3ds Max and Mudbox only. Please, help me, and i'd be grateful.
create a spline (line in 3ds max) and use the filet tool. to create that curve. 1. Line tool with three points, 2. file the point you want to have the bend 3.voila
is there any problem in 3d modeling which you don't have simple solutions of?: ) Great tutorial. I was going same but without Itoo it is going to be hard to move it along the path. THanks
In the movie version the whole "main" chair is one piece. But in the 3D version it looks like it's acctually a indent, and from the indent there's some kind of extrusion. Which one are you trying to do?
I'm about to model a CZ 550 (rifle) I'm wondering about this part of the normal map right now: Should I photoshop this part of the normals map, or make it high poly and render the normals? There're a lot of things I don't know about 3d design, do you guys have a guide/website/book/other to recommend me? I'm currently…
awesome gonna give that a go I'm using 3ds max btw forgot to mention that -EDIT- So after playing around with max for a bit more I was able to do it with the array tool
Sharing my files and having to deal with interoperability is not something I have much experience with since I am not a working 3D pro. (yet) It's good to know though, so thanks Perna.
