Hello friends. I've finished phase two of the engineer lad. These last few weeks I got my hands dirty and really explored what Marmoset 2 had to offer. Did not disappoint! Here's a shot of this dudeman in there. Concept by the talented folk of CreatureBox. I've uploaded some more shots / higher res over at -->…
fredriklars: That's nice stuff, your rocks are a bit rough on the normal map side it seems, very noisy. It maybe could benefit the picture if it was a little bit smoother so you can rest an eye on em, just my two cents :) Some other work from me, porting stuff I made last year from an engine to another so far:
Today I want to share some of my progress on the Mech suit for Nelo. this is the gamemesh not rendered in engine yet, but I wanted to make nice promo renderings for this one. I'm still working on the rig but I'm sure it'll be in game pretty soon. I'm personally excited to control a mech in Nelo. Art Thread for the Game:…
No great rendering engine or a GPU to manage millions of polys here (not yet) ;) I finished my 21st modeling test made with two thumbs and a smartphone (S3 Mini). Spacedraw for Android is the only real 3D modeling app for touchscreens. It's still a bit buggy and they need to change the UI for the newcomers, but it's…
Really nice work! what engine did you use? I particularly like the floor and the light haze/glare. My only critique is that in that the yellow criss cross floor plates look like the spec for the raised part needs to be ajusted to give it a bit more depth. Possibly make those areas scratched or more warn too as the paint…
I made a game in the new Unreal Engine for the 7DFPS game jam, it is called Shootmephrenia and in it you have to shoot no one but yourself! It is obviously not as easy as it sounds. You have to reflect your bullet on panels so that it comes back to you and then you have to catch it. You can download it for free here:…
GI-ing with many real time point lights is fun and looks cool (UDK). A script for placing them automatically on the grid, and getting color from the near object would be awesome. I'm wondering why there isn't a similar solution for real time using. I mean in any engine, not just UDK. Setting the density could be the option…
That's some beautiful weaponry you've got there! -- So, I sat down and played around with Unreal Engine 4 yesterday, and came up with a shader that allows me to apply a camo or some other overlay, onto a model. The overlay can be tiled independently AND I have a mask setup that can be tweaked to scratch and damage the…
Well, you guys are ridiculously amazing. But I got to start posting my stuff or I'll never get used to it... Here is my current project, based on the Last of Us DLC carousel concept! (Such good timing... I didn't plan it). Screenshot from UDK engine, Abandoned Carousel: Hope you like it! Here's a video I just put together:…
Okay finished polypainting last night. Now starting to retopo. From now on I'll reduce the speed on start working on my RTS project I always wanted to do. I don't want to haste the rendering process of in game engine since PBR has come new to CryEngine. Need to slowly figure it out. As my policy I stay away from pre-render…
