Well, thanks for that Ace, at least I can use it :) Thanks for all the replies guys! Oh damn, no love for Max 2014. When will the world move on? Quite hard to get anything compatible with it..
I saw this Unity thing a little while back... http://blogs.unity3d.com/2014/04/08/playstationvita-for-all-the-unity-for-playstationmobile-public-preview/ Also I wouldn't call the console dead...
I spent 3 days to finished zbrush sculpting and used maya 2014 to created low poly modeling-->(3104 tris not sure it's low enough) I 'm still working on texturing.
Hey, thx for answering. Morphix doesn't work for me, for some reason (2014 max). Yeah, that's what I figured. Still, I was curious if there's a way to do it, if I ever need it in the future.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SiRjOptXAPU&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DSiRjOptXAPU It's out now but only if you have the extension for 2014. Skip to roughly 10 minutes in to see the new boolean demo.
Thanks, unfortunately, Modo is quite expensive. Btw, if anyone uses fbx with Quixel, make sure you export the meshes as 2014/2015 fbx if they are higher Quixel seems to freak out.
At first I was amazed at zremesher, but then I tried to use that model in production. 3dcoat is great, but if you already have Maya 2014 at your studio that has some decent tools for retopo too.
I haven't gotten a reply from SitniSati on this issue... so I am asking here. How in the hell do you get FumeFX to render in Maya 2014? My settings follow what they said in the help file: And that's all they say on the matter.
High poly for my latest is ready to share. The concept was taken from "The Art of Deadspace" book. Maya 2014. At first I wasn't going to SubD much, but then I realized the major curves needed it. most of it is SubD, but not entirely. Any comments welcome. Thanks
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/06/24/mirrors-edge-2-will-be-focussing-on-first-person-combat-says-dice-general-manager/#null So you are taking the worst element of a great game, and making it the focus of the sequel. Wow guys...
