I haven't gotten a reply from SitniSati on this issue... so I am asking here.

How in the hell do you get FumeFX to render in Maya 2014? My settings follow what they said in the help file:
To be able to properly render FumeFX and objects using mental ray, you have to enable the “Use Autovolume” option that is located in Rendering Algorithms rollout of mental ray.

And that's all they say on the matter.

    Searching more on the net...

    For those who might run into this:

    FumeFX for Maya 2014 botches the install by placing the shaders in the wrong directory (Maya MR install directory is different than others)

    So you have to manually copy the shaders from here:

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2014\mentalrayForMaya2014\shaders

    to here:

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\mentalrayForMaya2014\shaders
