That's useful, regarding this though. I'd like to make a character with interchangable items. I've made a naked base mesh, would I simply just make armor pieces on top and rig them to the bone? Do I animate ONLY the base mesh or do I animate with armor pieces on her? Thanks!
Hey guys I could use to help on her armor. I know it doesn’t look right or proportional so what can I do to make it look better and right? Her leg armor feels off I modeled them inside Maya and topogun as low poly and sculpt them inside zbrush high poly.
Hello everybody, back with some new images. This time some miniatures sculpting for a board game called Kingdom Death. The author of the game is currently running a campaign on kickstarter so if you like board games, miniatures or cool models in general go take a look: Kingdom Death And here are the images :) Pin-up…
Hey guys, I'm posting up some of the references that I think help guide my design and colors. Feel free to share yours too, so we can all work together in creating some awesome items! If enough people are responding, I'll try to keep this top post updated with armor and weapons. ARMOR/HELMS: SWORDS: SHIELDS:
Current WIP for Sylvanas! Still blocking out her armor and re-adjusted some anatomy. Trying to get a feel of all her main design elements together. There are still some armor designs I gotta get in there, but I'll be moving on to blocking out her bow and quiver next. Some before and afters:
Great stuff!! Love that paladin armor, really awesome idea for shoulder pads, and sweet helmet design! Was staring at the druid shoulders the other day on my dude, never noticed the skulls before then. awesome little touch, and different for druids! Were you also responsible for all the different color variants of these…
I'm liking where this is going so far, this seems like a really cool concept. I agree with the others about having bulkier thicker looking clothing and armor. Dwarves love armor. He needs more muscle and can elves grow facial hair? If so he needs to at least have whiskers.
Bravo, very nice hard surface work. I might play with the color on the armor a bit, I feel it could benefit from some minor color contrasts. Maybe make the light armor areas a bit darker, like the area below the groin. A wire frame would be nice too, Great job!
Wow, sorry I just jumped right to crits! I'd say focus on massing out each of the armor pieces, obvious things like the shoulder pads, chest plate, leg plating, etc. The things I'd work on in the normal maps and the high poly model would be those thin streaks separating the armor.
Started blocking in her clothing /armor and made small changes to her face. Hoping to have her clothing/ armor finished by tonight and then move onto her headpiece. I think I also need to go back and work more on her lips more, I'm just not happy with them. Critique welcome :)
