RapidTools rapidQCap is doing the exact same thing... :) It can do this on multiple selection as well, and it has a built in corner search algorithm, which always try to search for the best result, and a lot more! :) Anyways! Nice One! ;)
Yeah, evolution does happen. Still Substance Designer imo is an example of what could be perfectly artist friendly with just a little bit more conveniences here and there and less "program everything on your own" concept. Convenient 2d transform gizmo like in Photoshop with ability to scale precisely around chosen screen…
I understand there will be less pixels and therefore detail. However because of the scaling algorithm it tends to blur and push pixels around in strange ways sometimes? What would be the best way to scale a 3K texture to 2K?
hehe, classic. glad you figured it out. because of the unique nature and use of normal maps, programmers can use more efficient compression algorithms specifically created for them. so identifying them as such improves real time performance/footprint.
They developing advanced point cloud caching and filtering algorithms.. I don't know but would like to this [reduced pointcloud tesselation] combined with DX11 features.. This would be HELL A LOT OF DETAIL then, until thenone can dream ;)
Max 2017 revamped the old boolean tools/algorithm. I haven't tested it enough Vs ProBooleans or used Modo Booleans so I can't comment. Just thought I'd let you know.
There's no need to use the layer brush for painting only; I don't think it's algorithms would lend itself to be useful in anyway. You'd get better behaviour using the standard brush, RGB on, Zadd/sub off.
From what I can tell, this is what we always wanted Groboto be. :) This is brilliant, IMO. They can use the beautiful app that Luxology have built and focus purely on the tech implementation of their boolean and meshing algorithms.
The whole death of turnbased in xcom pushed me into a turnbased mood again, back to my colony project, brained through an algorithm to autotransition a land/water grid map, so everything becomes easier to handle:
hey polycount, its been a long while since i've posted anything on these forums but i'm looking forward to participating in this challenge. I initially had a teammate lined but i'm now going solo to work on my own idea. I've always been a huge fan of gothic style architecture ever since being a kid visiting Europe. My idea…
