Hi fellow Artists, the company I work for is looking for talented artists with some game experience for permanent fulltime positions in Copenhagen. We are only looking for applicants who live within the EU! Applicants should also be pretty fluent in English. We are especially looking for the following: A Realtime…
My current system is going on 4 years old (dual core 2.4 ghz AMD, EN7800 GTX in SLI, 2gb ram) and it's finally struggling hard to keep up. I'm pricing a new system and I'm trying to stretch my money the best I can. I'm trying to strike a balance between buying enough performance that the system has a good lifespan, and not…
It actually depends on what your target is. This concept art is from a videogame, and given the size of the object it would never require that many texture sets, even if it was a hero prop game asset. If it was for a vfx it might be acceptable for very high detailed closeups. As a game prop I would imagine the lead to ask…

I was always a fan of…

It won't be quick and easy even if you aren't new to it. 90+% of people will get better results faster if they do it by hand (using prebuilt modules etc) It only makes sense to develop an automated system for this sort of thing if you have a shit load of them to make or if you want to make the system for the fun of it
Hi, all ! Gems enchanted me completely - after finishing database of designs: https://gemview.yesbird.online I am switched to online gems CAD system and now stable working proof of concept is ready: https://gemview.yesbird.online/cad/ Although it's only in alpha version, geometry in OBJ and POV-Ray mesh2 formats can be…
Quite the opposite, I would think. If the drop in Nintendo stocks was affected by the controller reveal at all, it wasn't because of the potential cost. Controllers are the bread and butter of the game industry. A system with complex, expensive controllers would mean considerably more profit. That concept combined with…
