Go for something with a faster core speed instead of core count. I'd take the 4ghz Intel core i7 4790k quad core over any of the 6 or 8 core processors simply because of the core speed. Most applications won't fully use all of your cores which is why a higher clock speed is more important. I'd only go for the 6 or 8 core… -

I'm having the same issue - I can paint in NDO Painter, and hitting N to hide the blue works nearly instantly, but Shift + Space does nothing, even if I hold it for 30 seconds or longer, or hit it multiple times. Stumbled across a fix for this. Changing the import/export settings of the FBX plugin never did yield a workable solution. The easy fix was to change my MAX system units to centimeters. This workaround was described in the Autodesk FBX plugin documentation, under the Troubleshooting section:… -

I recently built basically the same computer. GTX 770 4GB, i7 4770k, 16 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD, 1 TB HDD (for storage), ASUS Z87 PRO, 750W power supply for just shy of $1000. Although I built it over the period of Black Friday to Christmas to watch sales. -
