The 'Killroy' insignia was etched by Allied soldiers during WW2, mostly throughout the European theatre indicating to other units the areas that they have traveled. It really has no place being on this weapon and would probably look better without it.
Looking mighty handsome Javier, big fan of WW2 planes myself...im a bit over the russian side though. Any plans for cockpit? Might be a pain in the groin to highpoly model but would be interesting to see nevertheless.
NECROTHREAD, YEAH! Had an idea to make a series of late 19th/WW1 aesthetically themed guns for awhile now. Here is a WIP of the first one, using this as an exercise in design and shaders (all materials are without UVs in modo)
Stunning work. You should think about entering 3D Squirrel's latest 3D Modelling Challenge: http://www.3dsquirrel.co.uk/forums/blog/1/entry-48-3d-squirrels-battleship-3d-modelling-challenge/
if you wanna get into handpainted texture i really suggest you to start with some tutorial that gives you the basics of the tecnique. I started with this one https://www.3dmotive.com/f101801 and i found it extremely valuable.
Snipergen - actually, rumor has it that the next Assassin's Creed will be set in either WWI or II, with the ancestor being a female assassin... Desmond's grandmother perhaps? It would be rather amusing to see Desmond connect with living family members.
I give it a 7/10-- big step down from COD 4. It would have been nice to have some modern warfare in my modern warfare game, instead of WW2 tactics with modern weapons.
