Wow, love the intricate detailing! Kinda suggests a cross between warhammer 40k and Deus Ex to me! :D Feels like the final texture would suggest gold, brass and carbon fibre.
$348 million budget and it shows, the environment is really stunning, especially for a MMORPG. I can't wait to see the finished product. They've more than 400 developers working actively on the project, it may be the biggest video game project of all time.
Well I didnt know 501 was out already...been hearing some good things about the new version. Ive been using 401 for a while now and the lack of proper smoothing groups has been a little let down.
I would love it just for the ps option, even for minor sketches. I also would use it to read manga in bed like Beserk which is about 750 bucks new and 400 used. I will wait for your video reviews : ]
Spend 1100-1200 with a strong CPU and enough ram plus a GPU good for the next 2 years, then spend the remaining 300-400 on a new GPU once the next-gen consoles have landed and given the PC market a bit of a push.
You can get the student version of Maya or 3ds relatively cheap 400$ for maya, dunno how much 3ds costs. [edit] woops didn't notice you wanted to do freelance with it which would be against the license conditions iirc.
A Shocking Interview With The War Z Developer On False Steam Store Claims> http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/the-war-z/1226980p1.html "'Over 100 sq km' falls in '100 to 400' right?" "There's no such thing as 'Release' for an online game." Say what?
I actually haven't played WoW in years, doubt I'll be coming back to it too. But yeah, that really was a cool trailer. So awesome seeing those zones in cinematic quality. MMO I'm most waiting for now is the Warhammer 40k one.
Ok I took an object from 2010 exported obj to max 9. Turbosmoothed both for the high poly and max 9 is steady at like 250-400 fps on screen while 2010 is at like 20 What the hell. Thats insane!
Thanks Repete .... Well i got it to work after 400 tryouts, i finally got to show up in the Menu. I probably created more than one entry for it. The line you need to watch for is "All forms in their natural hierarchy."
