Here is a second pass at the textures. This time i worked on the little details. Tried doing it all by hand ( little image basing ). So now i think i will move on the 3rd pass and finish the diffuse.I also made a quick spec and normal. At this point, im only showing the diffuse. Also now, that im looking at it, i gotta…
Hey Guys, I am working on the Snow shader in Unreal where you can add snow on objects with respect to gravity, its normals, a lot more. So i tried to fix all the feedback i got. I setup the material for bark and wanted to see how it looks. I tested it on the cart too but i am still not satisfied with the cart because i…
Hey everyone. Quick problem looking to get solved. I'm in the middle of a Zbrush project and suddenly none of my material previews are showing in lightbox or in the Toolbar. They show on the sculpt fine, the tooltip shows a preview of the material on the sculpt in lightbox, but they don't show on the orbs. The problem…
They're that way because that's all it needs. If you can't fit it within the texture/poly budget it means it's too ambitious - a quiver isn't meant to be a big show piece like a weapon, head slot or mount; it should compliment a set. Either your concept doesn't work or you need to be smarter/more resourceful with your…
Hello everybody two months ago we founded Flow Studios - a 2D and 3D outsourcing provider for game art content. It's a great joy for us to work here, designing characters, backgrounds, props, etc. We provide both 2D and 3D artwork. I'm happy seeing that our idea was received with a warm welcome from the "scene". Stay tuned…
"I tried baking with blender, but it's awful for me. marmoset also bad." The issue(s) lie(s) somewhere else. Upload your low and your high and people will be able to show you examples of good bakes with your meshes.
Eric: There is going to be lots of seams and other details in this surface, so it needs a normal map. Its going to have smooth areas in between the seams and this banding will show up there. I could just delete the parts of the high poly that are so similar to the low poly but it just seams so messy having to deal with it…
Hey this is looking cool. I think your current render is looking a bit flat, the ground in particular is looking very low resolution. Take a close look at your main ref, in fact it’s really good to put it side-by-side with your render, helps to identify where the render is lacking. The circular snow mounds are looking…
best thing you can do there, is find some anatomical reference, and actually look at muscle structures. or even to an extent, look at some anime work. it tends to be hyper defined, but itll show you the main blocks youll be wanting to model in low poly art. stuff like that.
Hey! New guy here :) We just got Phoenix licenses at my school, and I'm trying to learn it. So I've been following some tutorials by Svetlin Nikolov, on how to make some sweet explosions. He's using MR in the tutorial, so naturally I used the same. But somewhere along the path my explosions wouldn't show up in my renders,…
