Yea not in front of Maya right now to try this out but its similar to iconoplast's idea. Place the verts of the cutting object on the surface of the main mesh, remove the polys in both and bridge or create new polys that respect the hole.
Much respect for sharing your secret weapon, that makes you cooler than Chris Mullins (back in the day he took his tutorials down because he was worried about people stealing his style)
Sure thing! Sometimes Maya will have some visual bugs where components will appear to be selected even though they aren't. In lieu of restarting, these instances can be fixed by switching to the respective component mode, then selecting and deselecting everything.
Good idea, but modo already changes the snap to grid value with respect to zoom levels. But it would be useful for an easy access via pie menus in some cases :) oh btw what's with these crazy measurements, like 204800 ??
Please don't do this. There are a few trans members of polycount, and nothing is more offensive than "it's a trap" jokes (which aren't funny anyway). Any other minority would be off limits, so try to respect this one.
this to me is uneccesary harsh. and slightly wrong. as the creator of the thread, i dont think its wrong to ask people to respect the intended topic. and to create a separate thread for that discussion is a good solution, even if it didnt work here.
That Hannity is a complete shit face, he doesn't know what it means to live with the world, and treat people with respect. Not sure if the idiot Murdoch is the cause, but he does own fox and is known for sensational and retarded mediatised facism.
Christ, that is condescending. They're doing something for themselves without any guarantees or even an expressly stated goal and they're getting put down for it? That just shows an absolute lack of respect. This isn't a monetary investment they have to asses, is it?
I recall the PC version being reported as pretty buggy. How does it fare in that respect on the 360? I was pretty intrigued with the game, and almost picked it up the other day, but figured I'd ask around first.
Mad respects to the Green Machine and those that dwell within. I owe a hell of a lot to this community. A toast to Polycount and to the next 8 years helping out untalented schmoes like me find work in their dream job.
