Hi! This is a sculpt I'm currently working on I want to push it to be as realistic as possible, but as it now it looks more uncanny than realistic, and I can't figure out what part I need to work on to make it more human. So any pointers, feedback, and/or ideas would be very welcome!
I decided to attempt making a photo-realistic character again in 3ds Max. I would gladly love some feedback/tips to help me improve my renders and to get them to look as closely to photo-realistic as they can be.
What do you find good about it? Serious question. to me it doesnt feel very stylized. Its not realistic either but i feel like its overall way too noisy and realistic to be a great example on stylization.
That's bizarre. Same material in both ID's? Does it also occur with diffuse shading only? Realistic vs. Shaded viewport mode? What version of Max? Which preview mode... Show Shaded/Realistic Material in Viewport flyout?
Should probably add in that it's not finished, and it's a wip due to constantly being asked to change the style from realistic to more anime, to back to realistic... sigh.. anyway, I would love some comments and crits. Much love. -Dredg
[ QUOTE ] Taking it all as a whole, HL2 is the most realistic gameplay experience. [/ QUOTE ]Hold on, what ever happened to Operation FlashPoint?! While HL2 may have a very 'realistic' look, it also scores big in being BLAND!
Here's some pointless details but if you want to make the scene a bit more realistic looking your could incorporate some of these things. There's a lot of other stuff I left out but again, just a matter of how realistic you want it.
Does anyone know how realistic game hair is done? All i've got is stylised and i don't know if it'l look right when i'm trying to make the rest is trying to as realistic as possible. Any help would be great =)
Her face is currently ruining the rest of the piece. Everything looks at least semi realistic and then you have cartoon eyes, the styles don't match. You're going to have to deviate a bit and make her face look more realistic
I'm just beginning to learn how to work with engines, so I'm not really sure how expensive some things are. Is it realistic for all the fire in the level I'm working on to give off realistic flickering light? Or should I just scratch that idea?
