I decided to attempt making a photo-realistic character again in 3ds Max. I would gladly love some feedback/tips to help me improve my renders and to get them to look as closely to photo-realistic as they can be.
I think you are heading in the right direction, with that said I believe that your current gloss levels are a bit high. A bit more break up would make it feel more natural. Have a look at Costa's work, he nails realism
